For the Soulwax Europe tour, IT’S YES translated the lighting stage design by ARF&YES into a fully tourable build system, engineered for speed, repetition and the realities of live performance.

The original setup was based on traditional scaffolding, which worked for venue shows but proved too time-consuming for festival environments. With limited changeover time between performances, the structure needed to evolve into a system that could be built, moved and cleared at a much faster pace.

IT’S YES fabricated a custom touring setup based on modular towers and drum structures, designed to keep lighting, cabling and technical components integrated during transport. Instead of rebuilding the setup from scratch each time, most elements remain mounted within the structure, allowing the entire system to fold, roll and deploy as one.

With nearly 600 running meters of aluminium tubing, the build combines scale with precision. The result is a setup that can be assembled behind the scenes in under an hour, rolled on stage during changeovers, and cleared again in under 50 minutes. A crucial shift that made it possible to take the show from club venues to large-scale festivals.

Built for intensive touring, transport and repeated handling, the system balances robustness with efficiency, supporting a demanding live schedule without compromising the visual impact of the performance. A touring structure where build intelligence meets the rhythm of live music production.
