Kamp Jeroom is a television format developed by Woestijnvis, built around physical challenges and absurd escape-style games. The concept required a studio that goes beyond traditional quiz or talk show setups, translating gameplay directly into a spatial experience.
IT’S YES designed and built the full studio environment, structured as an arena where three custom-built game boxes form the core of the action. These open-top “escape rooms” are surrounded by elevated stands for the audience, allowing spectators to look down into the boxes and follow the gameplay from above. The result is a setting that feels closer to an arena than a conventional TV studio.
Each box is engineered to support a wide range of unpredictable and often chaotic challenges, requiring durable construction and clear visual logic for both audience and camera. Custom-built lighting elements, including tailored TL fixtures, are integrated into the set to reinforce the raw, game-driven atmosphere while maintaining full control for broadcast.
Built entirely in-house and in use since 2024, the studio supports multiple seasons of recordings, combining robustness with flexibility. From set design to fabrication and installation, IT’S YES translates the creative concept into a functional, high-impact television environment that holds up under pressure and performance.
