CAMPUs CUP

De Campus Cup is a quiz show broadcast by VRT in which Flemish universities and colleges compete against each other. The studio design draws inspiration from the structure of a classical lecture hall, translated into a contemporary television environment where interaction between teams and their supporters is central.

For this project, IT’S YES designed and produced the full studio environment, developing a clear spatial system around gameplay, audience involvement and camera logic. Integrated seating tribunes bring students into the recordings, turning them into an active part of the show while reinforcing the competitive atmosphere.

The layout of the panels, the position of the host and the overall geometry of the set are carefully engineered in function of camera positions, game flow and lighting requirements. TV light mapping and integrated lighting positions ensure consistent readability and visual balance across every episode.

All scenic elements are fabricated, installed and assembled entirely in-house by IT’S YES. Built for durability and intensive use, the studio has been supporting recordings since 2019 for Canvas and VRT MAX, maintaining both visual consistency and technical reliability over multiple seasons. A studio where architecture, gameplay and audience energy come together in one coherent broadcast system.
